The toss was won by Nomads on a brilliant sunny afternoon and elected to bat.Gardner (43) & Moss batted with freedom putting on 96 for the 1st wicket. 2 quick wickets then fell, including Pinfield for a Gonad, before a rapid 114 in 14 overs from the new partnership of Moss & Brannigan (60 from 48 balls) including Moss' maiden Nomad century (128). Both wickets fell very late in the innings giving Nomads a season best 258 for 5. Goodhall was the pick of Parkers bowling with 2 for 22 from his 8 overs. A superb tea provided by the Collins household before be resumed the game. Parker wickets fell at regular intervals being spread out by Nomad bowling. Westwood bowled with pace taking two before being rested. N George bowled his best spell for Nomads, growing in confidence, also taking 2 (Nomads PB?). K Collins was his normal ecomical self. Hughes also took 2 wickets, before the innings was wrapped up by new bowling sensation, Pinfield taking only his 2nd wicket in 3 seasons (a catch by Hughes - notable in itself). Parkers only had 9 players due to some late drop outs so Nomads offered them 2 'guest' batsmen at the end of the innings to gain some valuable batting practice. P Blackburn was unfortunately out LBW 1st ball, Westwood took advantage of some middle time, getting to double figures before his partner succumbed to Pinfield's flight & guile.
