Minutes of the meeting held on 29th November 2007 at the Duke of Wellington, Lichfield.
Present: RJ, MP, PB, PW, PG, MH, DF.
Apologies: PF, IH.
Finance
Money spent on new trophies amounted to £157.00, £176.00 given to 50 club. 4No subscriptions received so far, DF, MH, PG and AH. There was a £1.25 surplus from the dinner. We have £941.00 in the bank at present, no need to raise fees this season.
50 Club
33 numbers taken. Of the 17 remaining 5 are blank. More cash in than normal. PB wants the £12.00 owed for buying 6Nonet balls to pay his 50 club tab.
Membership
We will be losing TO and GC this year leaving a maximum of 18 paid up members this year. Membership is still very good but any new additions will be welcome.
Fixtures
16 fixtures arranged so far starting at Swynnerton on 13.04.08 and finishing at Blythe Bridge on 21.09.08. Coombes Wood CC retained and a new fixture against Great Barr. Woore might not be kept. Hoping Barton CC will allow us our normal home fixtures. Mercury cup does not exist anymore. There are hopes of arranging a fixture in Belper.
Nets
Commencing Thursday 03.01.08 at 8.00 pm for 13 weeks. 4 aisles instead of 2. We will go for the usual two nets. Cost is £51.06 per session. We will go for the 14th net if available on 03.04.08.
OUTDOOR NETS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE FEBRUARY MEETING.
Kit
Club kit is £13.00 per cap and £26.00 per shirt. Will Find out MOQ on the shirts. DF will take the net kit for the winter nets season. MP speak to Ivan Bennett regarding missing stumps.PB has purchased 6No new net balls for use from February onwards. New match balls required and DF bought up the idea of using a score book over more than one season. PW said it was done for statistical ease.
SUMMER KIT ROTA (INCLUDING NON COMMITEE PARTICIPATION AND SPRING STUMPS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE FEBRUARY MEETING.
Social
Absentees from the dinner were mentioned by PB. Xmas social is in Birmingham city centre meeting at Lichfield city train station for 3.06pm train and returning for curry to be booked for 9.30pm at the Lal Bag in Lichfield. Pre season social will be at the Perry Barr Dogs in April. MH to purchase 12No tickets @ £55.00 for the Friday (01.08.08) of the test match at Edgbaston. These tickets will be in the Priory or Raglan stands. 8No of the 12No have been taken.
Tour
May not tour Belgium in 2008. Possibly Belper or Buxton.
AOB
RJ stated that old trophies to be presented to the member who wins it the most. MP put forward that the performance of the year trophy to be renamed in memory of Phil Evans who sadly died a short while ago. This was unanimously agreed.
