Nomads dinner and annual awards.
Dear Nomads,
I'm glad to confirm that for the end of season(s) awards dinner we will be returning to Long Room at The Owl, London Road, Lichfield, WS14 9QH.
A big thank you to everyone who responded with their availability as well of that of their partner for all the possible dates. After careful deliberation, I can confirm that the event will take place on the evening of Friday 12th November.
Although we've already had confirmation of availability from yourselves, I've no doubt that some availabilities will have changed in the interim so if you would like to attend, please confirm availability and for each guest please advise from the menu provided what you would like for each course by next Saturday 9th October. The Owl have provided us with a good menu at a really well priced £25 a head, please advise of any allergies or specialist requirements.
If you have any queries, please let me know.

Records or at least landmarks.
There were a few notable events at Fleckney
The highest aggregate age for a 50 partnership. Pete and I total 135 (68 and 67 respectively) and put on 68 (?) together.
Rylea acting as a substitute fielder for the last few overs makes yet another father and son combination to appear for the Nomads, and the first time three generations have turned out. (Ian and Sos having previously played together)
Not sure how many Sam and Nick put on together, but it may be the highest family partnership. Chris and Kev Collins might have made more.

On Sunday (4th July) we are playing at Walsall CC, Gorway Road (weather permitting).
After the game we are planning to present the trophies from last season. We know that these trophies will feature in the winners' carefully curated zoom backdrops.
Due to restrictions this will take place outside. Obviously the timing is difficult to predict.
We would like as many of you as possible to be present, for the game as well as the presentations.
Please aim to be there at 19:00 at the latest. If it is raining gently we will still go ahead - there is some covered space outside. If people are building arks then we might need to rethink.
Hope to see you there.
