Walsall Health C.C. v Lichfield Nomads C.C.

Nomads crushed at Rushall

Playing old rivals Walsall Health, Nomads were not too confident about achieving a result, and Walsall Health started off at a fast pace with Armstrong and Chuck plundering the bowling. There was really little change during the innings with no-one being able to stem the flow of runs and the ‘Elf’ finished on 240-3.
Little can really be said about the Nomads innings which saw 3 gonads. Some good bowling and poor shot selection saw wickets fall at regular intervals with the only highlight being the innings of Paul Fearon with a defiant 36. Nomads then failed to even reach 100, being all out for 91.
With only a couple of close matches in recent years, Nomads v Elf contests are now becoming a little one-sided.
The home team celebrated their 30th anniversary with an al fresco awards presentation after the match; which was carried over from last year.
